Tithe is worship?

Check out this sermon by Pastor Nancy Dodson titled Tithe Is Worship from the August series Heart of Worship.

"Thank you to our membership and everyone else who continues to support our ministries here at The Bridge Holiness Church. Your obedience to contributions through tithes, donations, and your selfless commitment ensures our message is heard world-wide.
Let us continue our service and support as we build toward the vision the Lord has sent."

Sincerely,
The Bridge Holiness Church Board-of-Elders

Non-Profit 501(c)3

The Bridge Holiness Church, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit corporation whose stated purpose is "worship and service by believers to the Glory of God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ".
In other words... "Church".

What does this mean?

  • There are no shareholders. No leader, member, elder, pastor, or any person receive a share, dividends, or portion of church profits.
  • All profits must carryover back into the corporation for the continued growth of the stated purpose.
  • The board-of-elders are very particular to adhere to the Internal Revenue Services 501(c)3 Revenue Code to ensure our status as a reputable NPO, and, to keep your donations tax deductible.
  • If you are interested in tax-deductible contributions, you must inform us prior to donating so we can track and give you the proper forms.

How is the money used?

  • As a charitable organization, money received by the church through donations, such as tithes and offerings, must be used for the stated purpose of the non-profit corporation. That purpose is publicly available in the preamble of our constitution and formation documentation.
  • Any donation where a donor restricts the purpose, such as Building Fund, must be used only for that specified purpose.
*Please know, because of this the board reserves the right to deny certain restricted donations.
  • If the church were to transfer ownership of assets, ie; close the business, those assets can only be transferred to another party with a similar stated purpose.

Examples...

  • Praise & Worship, equipment, training, instruments, media screens, and cameras.
  • Utilities, buildings & grounds, and expenses.
  • Pastoral living allowances.
  • Contractors and salaries. The Bridge operates almost entirely through volunteers and contractors.
  • Any other purpose in which the board reasons toward the stated purpose of the corporation.

Can I be involved?

  • Absolutely! The board of elders hold monthly open meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. We welcome your attendance!
